Wellborn Forest Products, Inc. traces its roots to 1962 when Doug Wellborn began making kitchen and bath cabinetry for homes built by his father, Morgan Wellborn. Doug was a founding member of Wellborn Cabinet, Inc in Ashland, Alabama and Truwood Cabinets as well. Wellborn Cabinet was successfully built to a prominent position within the cabinet industry before Doug decided to take the contract cabinet sales division in a different direction. Wellborn Forest was then established as a separate business entity in 1987 and moved to its current location in Alexander City, Alabama in 1989. Tim Wellborn was named as President and CEO in 1998, several years after Doug's death.

Our company continues to grow and excel in the market place. We are now offering three complete product lines with 74 different door styles, 3 wood species, and a multitude of finish selections ranging from standard finishes, to glazed finishes and semi-opaque finishes including a variety of hand-applied distressed finishes. Our dealer base continues to expand in our current service area which includes the Great Lakes region, Atlantic states, Mid-Atlantic states, Southern states and several states just west of the Mississippi River such as Louisiana, Missouri, Kansas and parts of Wisconsin.
